Costa Mesa Community Messages of Support
Dear Director Gruner,
I am writing to express my full support for Teague McGrath and Aussie Teague’s proposal to assume leadership and management of the Costa Mesa Tennis Center
My family has lived in Costa Mesa for ten years (Camellia Lane). Both of my sons learned to play at the center, and we are eager to see the facility return to its former level of quality and service for our community.
I have personally experienced the impact of Teague McGrath’s coaching and community-building efforts. Teague is a key member of a local tennis league I joined during the pandemic and has been instrumental in my renewed enjoyment of the game. His personalized coaching style has also led to significant progress in my skills.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
Best regards,
Karl Trepanier

Dear Costa Mesa City Council,I’m writing to express my strong support for Teague’s Tennis Group in their proposal to manage the Costa Mesa Tennis Center.
I was a longtime Costa Mesa resident and homeowner, and while I now live nearby in Huntington Beach, I remain closely connected to the community. Over the past year, I’ve been running a weekly pickleball league at the Costa Mesa Tennis Center, and many of our regular players are Costa Mesa residents.
From my experience on-site week in and week out, I’ve seen firsthand how important strong, consistent management is to creating a welcoming and well-run facility. Teague’s Tennis Group brings the kind of professionalism, organization, and community-first mindset that this facility deserves.
The Tennis Center is more than just courts. It’s a hub for community activity, health, and connection. Our league alone has grown into a reliable weekly gathering that brings together players of all skill levels, many of whom live locally and rely on the facility as part of their routine.
I believe Teague’s Tennis Group is best positioned to build on that momentum, support both tennis and pickleball communities, and ensure the facility continues to thrive for Costa Mesa residents.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
Sincerely,
Mike Ryder

Dear Costa Mesa City Council,
I'm a Costa Mesa resident business owner. I wanted to take a few minutes to share my support for Aussie Teague's Tennis Group to run the Costa Mesa Tennis Center.
Honestly, what Aussie and his team have built here is something special. It's not just tennis lessons — it's a real community. The clinics, social groups, and themed events make it easy to show up, have fun, and keep coming back.
Aussie Teague's is USTA and RSPA certified, but more than his credentials, he genuinely cares about making tennis accessible and enjoyable for everyone in our community. That's not something you can fake — and it shows. The Costa Mesa Tennis Center deserves an operator who's invested in the people who use it. Aussie Teague's Tennis Group is that operator. Thanks so much for your time and for all you do for our city.
Best Regards,

Dear Brian and Costa Mesa City Council Members-
I am writing this email in support of Aussie Teague's Tennis Group becoming the next operator of the Costa Mesa Tennis Center.
I have been playing out of CMTC for over thirteen years and consider it to be much like my second home. Unlike Agape, Aussie Teague will run the center as it should be run, creating and fostering a community instead of the cold impersonal brand-pushing that Agape is known for. Aussie Teague understands the physical, psychological, and social benefits that tennis (and pickleball) provides, and his group will build on the positive foundation of tennis being a lifelong sport, supporting all ages and abilities and creating a second home for all of us who love to play.
Thank you for your time. I look forward to seeing Aussie Teague's Tennis Group at CMTC soon.

Dear Costa Mesa City Council,
My name is Michael McGee, and I am writing to express my strong support for Aussie Teague’s Tennis Group as the next operator of the Costa Mesa Tennis Center.
As a local professional operating a service-based business throughout Southern California, I understand the importance of consistency, accountability, and community-focused management. From what I have observed and learned about Aussie Teague’s Tennis Group, they demonstrate these exact qualities—delivering structured programming, maintaining facilities to a high standard, and fostering an inclusive environment for players of all ages and skill levels.
The Costa Mesa Tennis Center is a valuable community asset, and its continued success depends on experienced leadership that prioritizes both quality service and long-term sustainability. Aussie Teague’s team has a proven track record of building strong tennis communities, promoting youth development, and ensuring accessible opportunities for residents to engage in the sport.
I believe their approach aligns well with the City’s goals of maintaining high-quality recreational facilities while enhancing community engagement. Their leadership would not only preserve the integrity of the Tennis Center but also help elevate its value to the residents of Costa Mesa.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
Sincerely,
Michael McGee
